FAQs

  • Day-Of Coordination is honestly a bit of a misleading term. There’s no way any professional Wedding Planner can only work for you for one day and pull everything off smoothly and seamlessly. There’s a ton of work that needs to be done before your wedding day, and your Wedding Planner needs to know everything that’s going on…before the wedding day. So… as Wedding Managers, we are still going to do all of the tasks typically listed under a Coordinator’s job description, but we do SO MUCH MORE. We offer unlimited email communication from the moment you hire us. That way, if you have a question or need advice, you can shoot your Wedding Planner an email and ask away. That means you don’t have to wait until 4-6 weeks before your wedding date to talk to us (that’s the typical timeframe a Day-Of Coordinator and Month-Of Coordinator will start working with you and talking to you). If we wait until that close to your wedding date, there may have been some bad decisions made that you didn’t even know were bad decisions. It’s ok to not know everything in and out of the wedding world as a bride or groom. It’s ok that you’re not the expert. You’re not supposed to be. That’s why we do what we do.

  • For simplicity—for both you and us. No smoke and mirrors. No need to cherry-pick your way through our planning services. What you see is what you get—you get all the services listed. Plus, we want to provide a service that fills a gap in our area’s industry.

  • The earlier you are able to book our services, the better. This way you get the most out of your investment with us—monthly check-ins, a custom preferred vendor list, and a budget analysis. We highly recommend booking our services anywhere from 8-12 months out from your wedding date.

  • Ah, money. No one likes talking about it, but it’s a necessary evil when it comes to weddings. While there are average budgets, please keep in mind that we plan a variety of different types of weddings. Venues are different and include different things. Guest counts are an enormous range from 10 guests to 300+ guests. Catering styles dictate a lot of your budget. And then you have to think about all the decor, rentals, florals, stationery, etc. However, a typical Polished Weddings client budget is anywhere between $200-$1000 per guest. We work with all budgets, all guest list sizes, and all needs. We recommend reserving 8-10% of your total wedding budget for your Wedding Planner (this doesn’t include a Planner who is also serving as your Designer).

  • We will help advise on the latest trends and top decor vendors (rentals, florals, specialty rentals, stationery & paper goods, etc.). Our role as your Wedding Manager is to manage the wedding by overseeing each vendor and his/her responsibilities on your wedding day. We do ask that each of our clients hire professional and full-service vendors who will provide all necessary installation and teardown. While we won’t stand aimlessly by without lifting a finger, if we were to step in with our full focus on your decor, our attention would be taken away from being able to multi-task, manage all of your vendors, and make sure everything is timed and happens seamlessly according to the plans we have made for you.

  • We plan and produce a certain number of weddings each year. Once that number is reached, we are fully booked. We want to make sure we are not overworking ourselves because, ultimately, that means you don’t get the best of us.

  • That’s one of the beautiful things about our services! We work with you from the moment you book us. We will provide you with guidance from the get-go. We will be there for you for any questions you have throughout your planning process because we want it to be perfect for you.

  • As much as we love traveling, we focus our attention on the Upstate of South Carolina: Anderson, Greenville, Spartanburg, and the surrounding areas.

  • Absolutely! In fact, many of our clients do not live in South Carolina. We are used to working with couples who live far away. Our virtual planning suite of tools (in addition to email and Zoom) make it easy for us to work together.

  • Of course! We offer virtual evening meetings to support a stress-free planning experience. We understand that work schedules don’t always allow room for daytime wedding meetings, so we will work with you. We schedule meetings as late as 7:00 pm. Our schedules are typically busy on the weekends due to weddings, so weekend planning sessions are rare.
